Scaling the world's tallest peak on Friday morning, Kami Rita, 51, broke his own record, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most accomplished climbers of all time.

The veteran Sherpa guide reached the 29,032-foot (8,848.86-meter) summit along with a team of climbers, braving treacherous conditions and extreme altitudes. Battling fierce winds and sub-zero temperatures, Kami Rita displayed unparalleled skill and resilience as he ascended the formidable mountain.

Born in Thame village in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal, Kami Rita's passion for mountaineering was ignited at a young age.
