Bhutan's flag carrier- Royal Bhutan Airlines is set to resume Paro-Kathmandu-Delhi flights from September onwards. According to the official General Sales Agent (GSA) Society International, preparations are underway to conduct four flights per week. “We are about to resume flights under Fifth Freedom Flight. We are planning to start ticket booking in a few days," said a representative of the company. The airline had been conducting four flights a week on the same route prior to the spread of COVID-19. The company said that the flight which was halted due to the pandemic will be resumed citing the demand of passengers.

  China Eastern Airlines is set to conduct regular operations from Kunming to Kathmandu from August 14 onwards.  The company will initially operate one flight per week using its Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has already given permission to China Eastern for the flight.

  With the rising issue of eye strain across the country, Himalaya Airlines has mandated a 'fit to fly' medical report, focusing on the health of its passengers.  As per the airline, the provision has been made mandatory for the passengers participating in its regular flights following the rise of conjunctivitis across the country.  Over the last few weeks, health organisations have reported rising cases of eye infection all over the country. Himalaya Airlines, which is a joint partnership between Nepal and China, is currently flying to various destinations including United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bangladesh, and China.

  Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, has re-launched the 'e-postal service' to receive advice and suggestions and address public complaints. According to Minister Kirati, the e-postal service has been re-launched through social media on Sunday. 'I write to you again with new responsibilities and challenges. Although the e-postal service was launched as a permanent bridge to connect the people with the government, the service had remained closed for some time due to busy schedules and we apologise for the inconvenience caused,” he said.  "From today onwards, the service has been launched again to maintain a relationship between the people and the government. Hopefully, your advice and suggestions will continue to come in the following days." he added.

  Nepali climber Nima Rinji Sherpa has set a new world record on the world's second highest mountain Mount K2 (8611 meters). According to Seven Summit Treks Nima Rinji Sherpa set a new world record as the youngest climber at the age of 17 years and 99 days.  Mingma David Sherpa   succeeds in Mount K2 for the sixth time World record holder Nepalese mountaineer Mingma David Sherpa successfully climbed the world's second highest peak Mount K2 for the sixth time. The height of Mount K2 is 8622 meters high. Earlier, he climbed Mount K2 in winter and reached the fastest summit of Mount Everest and K2 Peak. He also completed the K2 Speed Breaker Challenge at the peak of K2 in 14 hours and 22 minutes. Climber Sherpa is the youngest climber to climb all 14 mountains of 8,000 meters in the world.
