  Nepali climber Nima Rinji Sherpa has set a new world record on the world's second highest mountain Mount K2 (8611 meters). According to Seven Summit Treks Nima Rinji Sherpa set a new world record as the youngest climber at the age of 17 years and 99 days.  Mingma David Sherpa   succeeds in Mount K2 for the sixth time World record holder Nepalese mountaineer Mingma David Sherpa successfully climbed the world's second highest peak Mount K2 for the sixth time. The height of Mount K2 is 8622 meters high. Earlier, he climbed Mount K2 in winter and reached the fastest summit of Mount Everest and K2 Peak. He also completed the K2 Speed Breaker Challenge at the peak of K2 in 14 hours and 22 minutes. Climber Sherpa is the youngest climber to climb all 14 mountains of 8,000 meters in the world.

  President Ramchandra Paudel  has said tiger conservation would be significant for tourism promotion and economic development of Nepal.   Mountaineer Lakpa Dendi Sherpa captured the attention of the entire globe by ascending Mount Everest three times in ten days. In 10 days, 18 hours, and 30 minutes in 2018, he scaled Mount Everest three times. Summiter Sherpa noted at the time that he had dropped a few kilograms of weight and appeared to be aging as a result of his hard effort. Minister for Culture,   Tourism  and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, has said Nepal would buy new aircrafts soon. At a press meet organized by Press Centre Nepal Jhapa chapter here today, Minister Kirati argued aircrafts are essential for prosperity of landlocked country. "Process is underway to purchase three new and two old aircrafts which would arrive in Kathmandu soon, but no commission at all," he informed during the programme. Prosperity could be achieved by exporting Nepali products through Nepal's 'connection flights', according to the Minister. He also informed that he was reducing the corruption cases at ministry. He proudly shared that the Ministry had been successful to purchase new aircrafts even after paying the loan of Rs 4 billion. "Corruption is sinister in our country. Hotel entrepreneurs in   Sauraha  are elated with the rising inflow of tourists in the district despite increasing risks in the travel during the rainy season. July and August are considered off-season in terms of the inflow of tourists. Due to shrinking business in the rainy season, the hotel staff were also encouraged to stay on leave in previous years. However, the increasing flow of domestic and foreign tourists in the off-season this time has elated tourism entrepreneurs. According to Regional Hotel Association Chitwan Chairperson Ganga Giri, on an average daily 1000-1200 tourists are arriving in Sauraha in this season.   Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister   Purna Bahadur Khadka   has asked the Nepali Army (NA) to make its aviation service further credible and service-orientation. Inspecting the central air base of the Nepalese Army Air Service, the Defence Minister said that the aviation service of the NA is different than that of other institutions. He urged the NA officials to focus more on public service by making its aviation wing further credible. Khadka said that the government has its sincere appreciation to the NA's aviation service since it is offering services to the needy ones amid difficulties in low cost.   A Chinese citizen was arrested from Pokhara for a case related to drug abuse last year. Upon further investigation, it was found that she had been living illegally in Pokhara for three years and was later sent to the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu in collaboration with the Tourist Police and Immigration Office, Pokhara.  After the case came to the surface, stakeholders have laid concerns that no one would have known about such a situation if she was not involved in a drug-related case.   Number of tourists visiting Mustang has increased by 45 percent. According to the Area Conservation office, Jomsom of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), tourists' arrival in Mustang has increased by 45.75 percent in the fiscal year 2079/80 in comparison to the previous fiscal year, 2078/79 BS. ACAP Jomsom In-charge Ashok Subedi informed a total of 71,707 foreign tourists had entered Mustang in the fiscal 2079/80 BS.
